We are excited to have new topics , days & times in 2019!

We are partnering with MSU Extension to offer a class just for pregnant women, called “Today’s Mom”, with free Childbirth & Nutrition Education. There will be a healthy snack demonstration during the class and you will receive the grocery items to take home and make that snack for your family. 

….and we will still be offering some of our great evidenced based parenting education classes that have become so popular & you will receive a small gift and diapers for attending that class.

All classes are free to any parent, caregiver or soon to be parent in Tuscola County. You MUST register for the class you want to attend , space is limited in the classes. Please do not bring your baby or toddler to the “Today’s Mom” series. The other classes you can bring your infant if you don’t have childcare.


 

Wednesday, May 29th - 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: "Crying, Comfort & Coping" - REGISTER NOW

Techniques to soothe a crying baby and assisting you in meet-ing your baby's needs so that frustrations can be reduced for both you and your baby. Learn how to prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome (Abusive head Trauma).

Tuesday, June 4th - 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm: "Caring for Yourself" REGISTER NOW

We will be discussing : The importance of caring for yourself after your baby is born. The importance of having a support system. We will talk about Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (commonly referred to as “postpartum depression”) and your relationship with your partner and their emotions.
