Immunizations

Immunizations / TB Testing:

Immunization is one of modern medicine’s greatest success stories.

Each year, immunization prevents millions of deaths in all age groups from diseases like diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), meningitis, influenza and measles. While some of these diseases are not common here in the U.S., they persist around the world and are simply a plane ride away. Outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases can and do occasionally still occur in this country.

The goal of Tuscola County Health Department’s Immunization program is to provide fact based information, education and all recommended vaccines to infants, children, adolescents and adults. It is important that we continue to protect our children, ourselves, and our community with vaccines.
