COVID-19 Vaccine

Vaccine Distribution 

The Tuscola County Health Department has received a limited quantity of the Moderna vaccine and is in the initial stages of vaccinating select members of the Phase 1A priority group. Vaccine rollout will occur in the phases listed below:

 

The COVID-19 vaccine is free of charge.  We will be billing all insurances for the injection fee.  People that are uninsured will have their injection fee covered by the CARES Act.

Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Emergency Use Authorization

Testing Locations

The Tuscola County Health Department conducts drive-thru COVID-19 testing from 9am to 11am each Thursday at the Tuscola County Mosquito Abatement building located at 1500 Press Road across from VG's grocery store. 

  • You do not need to have an order from your medical provider
  • You do need to provide the following info: full name, date of birth, address, phone number, insurance card/information. You can still get tested even if you do not have insurance.
  • Testing is available to anyone over the age of 10, as supplies allow. Legal guardian needs to be present for anyone under the age of 18.
  • Please call the health department at (989) 673-8114 with any questions.
