It is the goal of the Environmental Health
Division to protect the public health from food borne illness and help to assure the public that their
expectations regarding wholesome and safe food are met.
Goals are accomplished through enforcement of Act 368, P.A.
of 1978, Part 129, as amended |

Description of Services
- Inspect and license bars, restaurants, vending
machines, mobile and temporary food vendors
- Review plans for new or extensively remodeled
facilities
- Complaint investigation
- Conduct hearings to obtain compliance with state
standards
- Food Borne illness investigation
The Division conducts routine inspections at all licensed
food service establishments. During an inspection,
structural concerns are addressed along with food handling
procedures and personal hygiene. Health inspection
records for any restaurant can be reviewed at the Health
Department.

Please follow these simple directions when becoming licensed for
a Temporary Food Event.

Print ALL four (4) items listed below:

Complete the License Application and submit it to this office
at least 30 days prior to your event to avoid additional
fees.

Non-profit organizations must supply their tax exempt number.
